Biography of Duncan McDiarmid

Ordinary Seaman Duncan McDiarmid was born in Gourock and graduated MA from the University in 1928. He joined the Royal Navy and served aboard the destroyer HMS Vortigern.

McDiarmid was killed with 109 others on 15 March 1942 when his ship was torpedoed by a German E-Boat off Cromer.
