Biography of Louis Eugene McMillan

Lieutenant Louis Eugene McMillan of the RNVR was born in Glasgow and attended St Mungo's Academy. He studied at the University, and graduated with an MA in 1930 and became a teacher.

McMillan joined the Royal Navy and served aboard Landing Craft (Tank) (R)457 (a landing craft modified to carry rocket launchers). He was killed during the seaborne invasion of Walcheren Island on 5 November 1944, when his vessel struck a mine.
