Biography of George Henderson Stevenson

Captain George Henderson Stevenson volunteered for the parachute regiment in 1943. On 9th June 1944 he moved with 12 para B Company to Longueval in Normandy under the command of the Sixth Airlanding Brigade. Stevenson was killed, aged 23, on 9th June when his Company came under heavy fire while supporting an attack on Sainte Honorine.
