Biography of John MacDonald
John MacDonald graduated MD from the University of Glasgow in 1862.
He was resident surgeon at Glasgow Royal Infirmary from 1862-1863, before becoming surgeon-major of the Argentine Army. He then became a practitioner at Buenos Aires and visiting surgeon of the British Hospital there.
MacDonald died at Lynedale House, Skye on 7 December 1879.
