Addison 1727-1897 reads: "Scotus" [Graduation album] ; possibly the same person as Andrew Sinclair, MD, sometime Surgeon, Royal Navy, thereafter (1844-56) Colonial Secretary of New Zealand and who, while on an exploring expedition met his death 26 Mar 1861, in an attempt to wade across one of the main branches of the Ranngitata River.
