Biography of Norman Reid Mitchell
Norman Reid Mitchell graduated MA from the University in 1900 and BD in 1902.
He was born in Ceylon, modern day Sri Lanka, son of James, a private tutor and brother of James Donald Mitchell.
Upon graduation, Mitchell ministered at Whitsome from 1906-1911, and then at Steven memorial Church, Bellahouston Glasgow.
During the First World War, Mitchell was killed in action serving as 2nd Lieutenant of the Kings Royal Rifle Corps near Pas de Calais, France, on 5 December 1917.
