Biography of Louis France Marcel Savy

Louis France Marcel Savy graduated BSc from the University in 1908.

He was born at Port Victoria on Mahé, Seychelles, son of Charles, an attorney, and brother of Joseph Henri Napoléon Félix Savy.

Savy was educated at the Saint Louis College, Mahé, and was the first student to be awarded an independent Seychelles scholarship in 1902, which enabled him to study either at the Royal College of Mauritius or in the UK. Savy enrolled at the University of Glasgow in 1905. He was awarded a first class certificate for the Ordinary class of Physics Laboratory in summer 1906. He graduated on 12 November 1908.

Upon graduation, Savy worked as a civil engineer, but died in 1915.
