Biography of Shang Van Pan

Shang Van Pan graduated with a Bachelors of Science (BSc) on 30 October 1913. He was from Kiang Soo (Jiangsu) Province, China, and his father, Syching, was a manager of K.S.R.

Pan first matriculated in 1909-10, aged 21, joining the Faculty of Science after having undertaken previous study at the Imperial Polytechnic College in Shanghai. During his fours years he signed up for classes and advanced classes in Mathematics, Natural Philosophy (Physics), Chemistry, Physical Laboratory, Electrical Engineering (laboratory and drawing).
