Biography of José Giuliani

José Giuliani was born in Concordia, Argentina, son of ship-owner Domingo Giuliani, who purchased the first river boat with steel hull, the "Cosmos" (later named Buenos Aires), built by the Dumbarton shipbuilders, William Denny & Bros., in 1879, to transport passengers.

José enrolled in the University in 1893 for five years, and attended classes in Naval Architecture, Mathematics, Natural Philosophy, Engineering and Chemistry.
