Biography of Manuel Ireneo Bianchi

Manuel Ireneo Bianchi was born in Corrientes, Argentina, son of Agustin a shipbuilder and naval architect. Manuel studied at the University from 1898-1903 to a Certificate of Proficiency in Engineering Science. He attended classes in Naval Architecture, Mathematics, Natural Philosophy, Engineering, and Chemistry.

Manuel joined the Argentine Navy, and in 1941 exercised the command of the ship Comodoro Rivadiva as Lieutenant, and in 1946, as Captain of the torpedo boat Mendoza.
