Prem Nath graduated MB ChB from the University in 1915. He was born in Lahore, of modern day Pakistan, on 19 January 1890, son of Lala Ganpat Rai Mulray, a judge in government service.

Nath was one of three brothers (Kedar and Amar) to attend the University. He enrolled in 1911 to study Medicine. During his studies, Nath was awarded two prizes; a first class certificate for the Diseases of the Nose and Throat class of lecturer John Macintyre and a second class certificate for the Diseases of the Ear class.

After qualifying LDS RFPS in 1914 and then graduating MB ChB in 1915, Nath went on to become a dental surgeon. In 1930, he was a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Washington.

Nath died in New Delhi in 1969, aged 79.
