Biography of Tsuneta Shin
Tsuneta Shin was born the first boy of Soroku Shin, who worked for personnel in justice field in Meiji Government.
After graduating from Kobu Daigakko, the predecessor of the Faculty of Technology in the University of Tokyo, Shin studied Engineering and Naval Architecture at the University of Glasgow in summer session 1888.
Upon his return to Japan, Shin worked as a chief engineer of Ishikawajima Shipyard. Later, he opened the Shin Office dealing with patent affairs in Yaesu, Tokyo. He died at the age of 69.
