Biography of Takehiko Hattori
Takehiko Hattori enrolled at the University of Glasgow as a Research Student of Science in 1915. Born in Nagoya, Japan, son of Takeshige, a manger in government service, Hattori lived in Formosa before coming to Glasgow, where he carried out research on the subject "Metallography and its application to cement". Hattori attended the University along with two other Japanese research students of Metallography, Tokiji Ishikawa and Osao Takigawa.
