Biography of Osao Takigawa

Osao Takigawa enrolled at the University in 1916 as a Research Student of Science. He was born in Tokyo, son of Osatomi, officer of the Japanese Emperor, and lived in Kyushu. Takigawa graduated BSc from Tokyo in 1904 before enrolling at the University in March 1917 to carry out research on the subject of “Construction of Alloy Steels”, along with two other Japanese research students, Tokiji Ishikawa and Takehiko Hattori.
