Biography of Robert Hodshon Cay
Robert Hodshon Cay enrolled at the University in 1778 to study Law under John Millar.
Cay was born in Charlton, Northumberland, son of John. He became an Advocate in 1780, thereafter Judge of the High Court of Admiralty in Scotland. He was one of the Commissaries of Edinburgh from 1788, and awarded an LLD from Edinburgh in 1803.
His grandson and namesake enrolled at the University in 1850.
