Biography of Ejnar Bondegaard
Ejnar Bondegaard graduated BSc from the University of Glasgow in 1904. He was born on 7 February 1882 in Svendborg, Denmark, son of Anton C Bondegaard, an editor.
Bondegaard enrolled at the University in 1900 for four years. His first two years were spent studying Chemistry under Professor John Ferguson. In his second two years he went on to study Naval Architecture under Professor John Biles. Bondegaard won several awards, and in his last year he graduated top of the Senior Naval Architecture class and won £14 (around £2000 in today's money) from the Kirk Memorial Fund in recognition of his academic achievements.
Bondegaard went on to work as a naval architect in his home town of Svendborg.
