Biography of Ilia Traube
Ilia, or Ilya, Traube enrolled at the University of Glasgow in 1912 to study Science and Engineering. He was born in the north-western region of the Russian Empire in the town of Ponevesh, modern day PanevÄ-žys in Lithuania. His father, Meyer, was a merchant.
During his four years of study at the University, Traube's home address changed to Petrograd, Saint Petersburg.
