Biography of Elizabeth Priestly McCallum
Elizabeth Priestly McCallum was born in 1912 in Hong Kong. Her father, Andrew Imrie McCallum was an Iron Moulder.
She matriculated at the University of Glasgow in 1928 at the age of sixteen and during her time there she studied English and Italian, Logic and Metaphysics, Education, History, Mathematics and Natural Philosophy.
By 1938, McCallum was living in Paisley and working as a teacher. On 7 October 1939, she married Thomas Mitchell Robertson, a bank teller from Uddingston, at School Wynd Church in Paisley.
