Biography of Norah Jean Galloway
Norah Jean Galloway graduated MA from the University in 1925. She was born at Vacoas (Vacoas-Phoenix), Mauritius, daughter of William, a veterinary surgeon. Her sister, Louisa Elizabeth, followed in her footsteps graduating MA in 1927.
Following graduation, Galloway worked as a teacher. On 31 July 1929 she married James Harvey Scott, a music teacher from Dumbarton, at the Grand Hotel, Charing Cross in Glasgow.
