Biography of John Thomas Harkin
John Thomas Harkin graduated MA from the University in 1936.
He was born in Glasgow in 1915, son of James Harkin, a gas fitter, and brother of Joseph Patrick. In 1932, Harkin enrolled at the University to study for an Arts degree, taking classes in English, French and Italian in his first year. He graduated on 14 November 1936, having taken higher courses in English.
