Biography of Tai Ming Wu
Tai Ming Wu enrolled at the University of Glasgow in 1912 to study Engineering. Over a period of three years he took classes in Higher Mathematics, Engineering, Naval Architecture (Junior and Senior), Ship Drawing, Natural Philosophy, Physical Laboratory, and Chemistry.
Wu was born at Canton, modern day Guangzhou, son of Hok Lon, a naval officer who had died by the time Wu enrolled at the University in 1912.
