Biography of Nora Potts
Nora Potts was born in Rathfriland, County Down, in 1893. Her father, Joseph, was a clergyman. When she came to Glasgow in 1911 to study in the Faculty of Arts, she lived on Daruley Road in Pollokshields. Nora studied a variety of subjects, including Latin, Roman History, French, Political Economy, Logic and Geology, graduating on 21 June 1915.
On 28 October 1921, Potts married William Hendry Baird, an optician in Glasgow.
