Biography of Johnson Seng
Johnson Seng graduated MA from the University in 1922. He was born in Shanghai, son of Jaun Foo, a shipping manager.
Seng enrolled at the University in 1919. Over three years, Seng attended classes in Latin, History, Constitutional History, Logic, English, Moral Philosophy and Geology, graduating on 18 November 1922. During his studies, Seng was a committee member of the University's Sino-Scottish society (1920-21), and served as its secretary in 1921-22.
Upon graduation Seng returned to China to teach. From 1925 he taught at Nan Yang University, Shanghai, modern day Shanghai Jiaotong University.
