Biography of James Wilson
James Wilson attended the University in 1890. He was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, the son of Robert, a merchant. Wilson studied Logic and Literature, winning a prize for a 'Preliminary Examination in Institutes of Logic and Descartes'.
After attending the University, he seems to have been involved in a weaving business, alongside his brothers, John Ross Wilson and Tom Taylor Wilson, based in Falkirk.
Wilson later enlisted to fight for the British in the First World War. He joined the 1st Merchants Contingent, based in Trinidad but fell ill and died before leaving for the front from Trinidad in 1915.
