Biography of James Calderhead Alston
James Calderhead Alston matriculated as an Arts student at the University in 1830. He was the fourth son of John, a Glasgow merchant.
Alston became a merchant at San Fernando, Trinidad. He died at 24 Burnbank Gardens, Glasgow on 12 July 1869, aged 53.
