Biography of Werner Weiglhofer

Werner Weiglhofer (d 2003) was appointed Professor of Mathematics in 2002. He died in a skiing accident in Norway in January the following year.

Born in Austria, Weiglhofer studied in Graz and Adelaide. He came to Glasgow in 1988 as a research assistant in the Department of Mathematics and was appointed Lecturer in 1991.
